Bhaavya Roy:Sheer has always flirted with the edge of boldness, but what we’re seeing now is an evolution—it’s no longer about exposure for shock. Designers are layering sheer fabrics like organza, silk gauze, and tulle in intentional, architectural ways. Think tonal overlays, structured silhouettes, and embroidery that strategically conceals and reveals. It’s storytelling through texture.

Elegance comes from how the fabric floats and catches light—it’s sensual, but not overtly provocative. There’s mystery in translucency, and that’s what makes it modern. I’m especially inspired by how sheer is being used not just in eveningwear but also in power dressing—like sheer shirting over bralettes or mesh panels in suiting.
